8 common stains from New Year's Eve parties and an easy way to get rid of them
Christmas and New Year are the most beautiful days of the year. However, the holiday may turn into a horror movie. why - I will tell you:
We decorated the house beautifully, Christmas and New Year decorations create a magical environment. The table is extraordinary, the food is delicious. Tastefully and moderately placed candles create a modest scent and a slightly mystical atmosphere. We're glowing in our new cocktail dress, our guests are as beautiful as we are, and one of them accidentally spills red wine on our colorful, bohemian carpet. At the same time, the candles are slowly extinguished and the floor appears like a Kandinsky painting. Not everything ends there, and as if falling from heaven, a piece of chocolate cake falls into the lap of our magnificent dress.
Don't be afraid, often Hitchcock's "horror" is done well. We'll tell you how to prolong the magical days and deal with the spots that everyone hates. So, here we go:
Candle wax:
If the candle drops fall on the carpet, floor or table cover, there are two ways to get rid of it:
1: Carpet: Place ice cubes on it to cool the wax. In its solid state, it is easy to scrape off with a knife blade or with the help of a credit card. Then vacuum up the residue and clean it with a soft cloth soaked in alcohol.
2: Table cover: Warm the wax with the help of a layer and clean the stain with a cloth soaked in alcohol. In the case of the wall, a cloth soaked in warm water will be useful. Also, using an iron is quite an experienced method. Cover the wax stain with newspaper and then iron it with a hot iron.
chocolate:
Chocolate dessert is the best tradition of the holiday table, but it is not so easy to remove its stains. Here, too, ice cubes will help. Place an ice pack on the stain, carefully scrape it off with a knife or card, a toothbrush can also help, then vacuum up the residue, and finally, soak a microfiber cloth in water-diluted dishwashing gel and scrub thoroughly.
Coffee:
Many of us don't know a party without coffee. Either way, we are not immune to its stains either.
To remove stains from clothes or tablecloths, dilute ½ teaspoon of dishwashing gel in 1 liter of warm water, add 1 tablespoon of vinegar. Put a cloth in the mixture and leave it for 15 minutes. Then rinse in water and wash in the washing machine.
To remove stains from carpet, dilute 2 tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide with 1 tablespoon of dishwashing liquid. Apply the mixture gently to the cloth, then clean with the help of microfiber and, if necessary, rinse with water.
hot cocoa:
To remove cocoa stains, first soak the fabric in cold water. It is important that the jet of cold water hits the stain from both sides. Then pre-treat - apply stain remover or liquid washing gel and wash in warm water.
To remove cocoa stains from carpet, wipe both sides of the carpet with a clean white cloth. Spray plenty of cold water. Then, clean the stain thoroughly with a mixture of warm water and dishwashing gel. Finally, wipe with a cloth dampened in warm water to remove soap residue.
Lipstick:
Reusable holiday napkins always give the table a sophisticated look. However, it is often not so easy to remove the traces of lipstick left on it. Pre-treat the stain before washing. Pour some liquid detergent and clean with a clean toothbrush. Leave it for 15 minutes and wash it in the washing machine with hot water. Allow to dry completely to make sure the stain is truly gone.
Red Wine and Celebration in Pune: Wine, puns, cocktails are the main attributes of the festive table, although stains often spoil the mood. If you spill it on any carpet, apply a little baking soda or hydrogen peroxide to the stain and blot with a clean cloth until the stain is gone. To remove wine stains from clothing, soak the fabric in cold water for 30 minutes. Then apply white vinegar on the stain and wash after 30 minutes. You can clean upholstered furniture with warm soapy water, then with an equal mixture of water and white vinegar, and again with soapy water. Finally, wipe with a clean damp cloth to remove soap residue.
Soot, coal:
A fireplace is the best decoration for Christmas and New Year. However, it is not only a decoration, and a burning fire, due to coal and soot, can create many problems. To remove stains from carpet or upholstered furniture, sprinkle baking soda on the stained area and leave for an hour. Then clean with a broom. If the stain still remains, pour hydrogen peroxide on a clean white cloth and wipe thoroughly. Then wipe clean with a damp microfiber cloth.
To clean fireplace bricks, mix ¼ cup of dishwashing liquid and 4 cups of water. Apply the mixture to the brick and clean with a soft brush, and finally rinse with a sponge soaked in water.
Christmas tree sap:
If you prefer a natural Christmas tree, you should also know that its cones secrete a sticky sap. Again, ice will help to remove Christmas tree resin from the floor. First, put an ice pack on the stained area, once the resin has hardened, carefully peel it off with the help of a knife. To remove it from clothes, apply stain remover or liquid washing gel to the stained fabric. Then wash with hot water. If necessary, repeat the procedure. Remember not to dry the clothes before removing the resin stains. To clean the carpet, soak a white cloth in alcohol and wipe thoroughly.
As we said above, Christmas and New Year are the most beautiful days of the year, so nothing can spoil the mood.
